Sahara Reporters is reporting that President Muhammadu Buhari is set to return to Nigeria in the next some few days after spending about two months abroad.
According to the report, two presidential aides revealed the likely arrival date of the President late on Friday, June 23.
According to them, the President’s health is greatly improved.
They however expressed reservations on the report that President Buhari was scheduled to return today, Saturday, June 24.
“Mr. President [Buhari] is getting better and wanting to return to Nigeria very soon,” a source said but refused to mention a specific date of arrival, choosing instead to settle with that his return “totally depends on his doctors.”
Another said: “Sickness is not a matter you just start broadcasting to everybody. Remember that Mr. President, after his return to Nigeria in March, told Nigerians that he had never been so sick in his life. I think that statement has already disclosed enough about his health.”
On issue of alleged side effects in the president’s treatment, one of the sources said it was only temporary.
“The issues [side effects] are temporary. They occurred after the medical team administered a particular medication on Mr. President.”
As reported earlier that the minister of sports Solomon Dalung had disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari will soon return to the country from London.
Dalung made the disclosure on Thursday, June 23 in a Facebook post. The minister however, did not specify the exact date when the president is expected back in the country.
